Size of the Trivet can be increased or decreased by using a different weight of yarn or by changing the hook size.
My Featured project is a 7” square Trivet, using 3mm hook with Laura Knitted Cotton of

Using a hook size smaller than the recommended size, gives you tighter stitches and hence a firm fabric for the trivet.

If adding or reducing stitches, please make sure to follow the progression of design, to get the same concentric pattern.
PLEASE NOTE: Number of stitches that can be added or decreased has been noted in the beginning of the pattern.

The pattern does not provide for a border, though an sc border can be added to give it an added finish. (this yardage is not counted here)
