Description:

Introducing the Tresness Summer Tee crafted with 3 panels of intricate lace adorning the circular yoke resembling a row of hearts at the neckline with built-in increases.

Its cropped and perfect for warmer weather, lightweight and airy with a wide neck-line, customisable sleeve and body lengths, waist shaping and short rows. The body is decorated with 2 simple lace patterns just like a field of buttercups and the hem edging adds a dramatic flourish.

This is an all year round piece when worn alone and choosing a broad range of yarns from fine merino and silk mohair blends for cooler climates or silk/merino, linen and cotton during the hotter months.

Yarn:

My sample was knitted using the following yarns:

A. Fingering / 100% 4ply Cotton from Wooly Knits on 400g Cone in Sulphur
B. Fingering / 100% 4ply Cotton from Wooly Knits on 400g Cone in Pale Pink
C. Lace / 100% Merino 1ply (2/30) from Uppingham Yarns on 250g Cone in Giallofluo/Gais

A, B and C (=MC) are held together and all the sweater is knitted with MC colour.

Project Notes:

This romantic tee is worked top-down with a circular yoke in one piece worked from charts and written instructions.

You separate the sleeves and the body and continue working the sleeves and body separately.

To lengthen this cropped tee, there are options for waist shaping and/or short rows to shape the neck prior to knitting the lace body and hem.

There are options for capped sleeves and long plain sleeves or with lace knitted cuffs which is charted along with written instructions.

The lace body is charted with written instructions. The hem edging is given in a simple written easy to follow repeat without changing needles and resembles a shawl style decoration.

There is an optional decorative crochet edging for the neck-line to add some vintage flair.
