Trevor the Dachshund
Trevor, the dachshund - a pattern for CSM knitters
Trevor came to me in a moment of whimsy and demanded to be created. He is fun loving, bossy and sometimes serious. He never fails to brighten up a room.
Required:
- Yarn - approximately 60gr sock/fingering weight yarn
- Stuffing
- Safety eyes OR contrast yarn for eyes and nose
- Felt to back the eyes (OPTIONAL)
Extra Tools:
- Yarn needle
- scissors
- crochet hook for the tail
- small gauge knitting needles (Optional - I use them to hold stitches during Kitchener stitch)
Notes
The original Trevor was made on a 60 cylinder. If you plan to use a
larger cylinder, you should add rows in the torso section to
accommodate for the increased girth (keep him in proportion).
Trevor consists of 4 pieces made on the machine: body, head, ears
(2) and a crocheted tail.
Set the tension tighter then you might for socks, to prevent the
stuffing poking through. I used the heel spring through out, but this
is optional.
Separate all pieces with your preferred number of rows in waste
yarn, no number for rows will be given in the pattern.
