I love kid’s blocks and I love basic geometric shapes. When I saw this stitch it so reminded me of children’s blocks, that I thought it would be a great stitch for any baby item. Inspired, I added customized tweaks to the stitch and designed this fun three piece set.

Our, Triangle Blocks Baby Hat, Scratch Mitts and Booties Set, pattern is really six (6) patterns, in one. Each item has a separate pattern for each of the available sizes, NB to 3 months and 3 months to 6 months.

Supplies:
Stitch markers, row counter (optional), yarn needle, size D/3 crochet hook and waste yarn for Provisional Cast-on

Yarn: Sample knitted, in NB to 3 month size, using one skein of Cherub DK by Cascade Yarns and needles listed in the pattern

Gauge using Cherub DK yarn:
1x1 Rib Stitch:
Size 2 Needles: 34 stitches x 34 rows = 4 inches (10 cm)
Size 3 Needles: 32 stitches x 32 rows = 4 inches (10 cm)
Size 4 Needles: 28 stitches x 34 rows = 4 inches (10 cm)
Size 5 Needles: 26 stitches x 32 rows = 4 inches (10 cm)

Pattern Stitch:
Size 2 Needles: 28 stitches x 36 rows = 4 inches (10 cm)
Size 4 Needles: 32 stitches x 36 rows = 4 inches (10 cm)
Size 5 Needles: 28 stitches x 30 rows = 4 inches (10 cm)
Size 6 Needles: 24 stitches x 30 rows = 4 inches (10 cm)
