These beautiful socks are simple but interesting! The stitch pattern, which is made of purls and knits, is easy and fast to memorize. This is simple top down sock pattern that features a textured stitch pattern. The sock has a heel flap and short row heel, which could be easily substituted if desired.

If desired, you should be able to modify this pattern. You could easily knit a break in the pattern, at the side of the sock, consisting of just one knit stitch (I’d recommend a twisted knit stitch), which would allow you to have any stitch count. I have included measurements for Woman’s Small, Woman’s Medium, and Woman’s Large/Men’s Small. Gauge isn’t crucial for this pattern.

For optimal results, I’d recommend using any of the Knit Picks Stroll lines, or a comparable yarn line, such as Patons Sock or Deborah Norville Serenity Sock.

Sizes in Pattern:
• Child’s Large/Woman’s Small (approximately women’s shoe size US 5-7)
• Woman’s Medium (approximately women’s shoe size US 7.5-9)
• Woman’s Large/Men’s Small (approximately women’s shoe size US 9.5-10)

Materials:
• Approximately 350-450 yards of sock weight yarn. (I used 2 skeins of Knit Picks Stroll for the largest size, but you might be able to get away with just one skein for the smaller sizes)
• (4) US size 1 Double Pointed Needles
• Tapestry/Yarn Needle
