Triangle Tiles
Size:
41-43
Size depends on gauge. Gauge used to make these instructions is 10x10cm = 30 sts, 32 rows. If your gauge differs remarkably, consider using different needle size or modify the model.
On the socks in the pictures circumference of leg is approximately 25 cm and circumference of foot 24 cm. Notice that the sock stretches. Length of the leg is about 22 cm. The size of the socks is easy to modify. If you decrease stitches from
circumference, notice, that then the pattern will break. The socks are quite loose, so the pattern made with extra rows could fit to bigger leg well, or are really comfy for wider feet.
Yarn:
Drops Nord:
MC 90 g 01 Off white
CC 50 g 11 rust / 10 lemongrass/ 18 goldenrod
Or other yarn the same thickness (170 m/ 50 g).
My socks are made with three different contrast colors, but you may use as many as you like. Also, the multicolored yarns are good option for these!
Needles:
2,5mm – 3,0mm or size required to get gauge right
You also need:
Blunt sewing needle
Stitch markers
Other notes:
The socks are worked from the cuff to toe, the beginning of the round is behind the leg.
The instructions are made for knitting with 4 double pointed needles, but you may use magic loop technique (or any other) if you prefer that.
Hope You enjoy knitting my design!
Source of this design is a rug I saw, when a was walking by a furniture store. I saw funky pattern in a colorful rug and wanted to use something little alike in my own design. After multiple squared papers and test knits later, I was finally happy with the pattern.
On few rows the float of yarn on the back side of the work is quite long. That increases the challenge of this pattern a little, otherwise it is fairly simple one. One thing I particularly like about this pattern is, that it is great for getting rid of leftover yarns from other projects.
I wish you happy and colorful knitting moments!
