Triangularity
Triangularity (noun) - the property of being shaped like a triangle
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Are you ready for a full size one skein worsted weight scarf with a stitch pattern that is really different, and yet very simple? My Triangularity scarf is worked sideways with a simple stitch pattern of chains that form rows of triangles.
The scarf is crocheted in two sections and with rows crocheted on the diagonal forming an easy-to-wear shallow boomerang shape. You can drape it, tie it, wrap it, or fold it because this scarf has a very generous length.
Best of all, this is a one-skein worsted weight project so it crochets up really fast. I used one skein of Malabrigo Washted (worsted, 210 yards/100 grams) for my scarf. The Washted color I chose is “Aguas”, a tonally dyed teal color. I highly recommend a tonal yarn to add depth to the stitch pattern and show off the triangles. You can also use one skein of Malabrigo Rios (210 yards/100 grams) for this scarf.
Because you can easily crochet this scarf in an afternoon, it is great for gifting. One skein of Malabrigo Washted or Rios and one afternoon produces a beautiful scarf! Make one for yourself and make more for gifts.
Skills required: chain, single crochet, slip stitch
Please note that if you use a yarn other than Washted or Rios, a different size hook and/or you do not get the correct gauge, your yarn usage may vary.
