This is an original crochet pattern by Crochet Oasis, named “Tribal Baby Clogs”. The pattern is written for 4 baby shoe sizes (using sport/baby weight yarn & C/2 or 3.0 mm crochet hook):-

Size 1: 0 - 1 month old (approximately 8.5 cm long)
Size 2: 1 - 3 months old (approximately 9 cm long)
Size 3: 3 - 6 months old (approximately 10 cm long)
Size 4: 6 - 9 months old (approximately 11 cm long)

Please refer to the length instead of the age for the correct size.

It is possible to upsize the shoe for:
(a) 9 - 12 months old (12.5 cm long) simply by using light worsted weight yarn & a 3.5 mm hook size on Size 3.
(b) 12 - 15 months old (13.5 cm long) simply by using light worsted weight yarn & a 3.5 mm hook size on Size 4.

This pattern is written in US crochet terms & in English only.

This pattern is suitable for beginners & intermediate level. It involves some basic sewing & macrame. If you are new to macrame, don’t worry :) This guide will teach you how to craft the macrame straps with many photos & detailed instructions.

To do this project, you would need to know the following stitches:

Chain stitch - ch
Single crochet - sc
Slip stitch - sl st
Invisible slip stitch - inv sl st
Single crochet two together - sc2tog
Standing sc
Half double crochet - hdc
Double crochet - dc
