Similar in overall look to my Panoply Shawl, the Tributary Shawl is also reversible but begins instead with a 2-color welting stitch, and a different brioche edging. It is worked from the top down in 2 coordinating/contrasting colors. The brioche border is added on at the end and forms into natural scallops. You will need about 400 yards of fingering weight yarn in 2 colors for a total of about 800 yards to make this shawl. Although I used fingering weight to knit this in, anything from fingering weight through DK would work. Adjust your needle size accordingly and expect a larger shawl than mine made up to be if you choose a heavier weight than fingering. My finished and blocked shawl ended up being 7 feet long and 18 inches deep at the center, deepest point. Written instructions, video help links, and stitch counts are included in the pattern.
