Triceratops
This pattern is for a baby triceratops, written in US crochet terms. It is an advanced beginner level pattern. There are no complicated stitches but some of the techniques used may be a little tricky for someone who has not made amigurumi before. You need to be able to increase, decrease, change colour, work in both a continuous spiral and in rows, know the difference between the front and back loops and the importance of using a stitch marker to mark the round you are working on. You can use any yarn type you like but the examples were made using about 20g of DK weight yarn and a 3.25mm hook, just ensure you use a small enough hook so the stuffing does not show. You can use any colours you like but will need a contrast colour for the beak and horns and an optional contrast for the edge of the frill. I also used 7.5mm safety eyes though these can be embroidered if you prefer. You will also need 3 stitch markers or yarn scraps to mark current round and eye placement. Made using materials suggested the triceratops will measure approximately 19cm in length.
You are welcome to sell any dinosaurs made from my pattern.
