Triceratops
The Triceratops dinosaurs were plant-eating, three-horned dinosaurs with a bony frill on the back of their head. They were about the size of a diesel truck and were found to have roamed North America.
This pattern works up such a cute triceratops with his pointed head frill and 3 horns. Plus an adorably endearing expression!
The pattern is written in US crochet terms for advanced beginner crocheters and beyond, mostly due to the terminology used. The advanced beginner is familiar with making amigurumi & understands basic amigurumi crochet terminology and stitches, as well as how to sew pieces together, finish off, hide ends, etc.
Finished doll measures about 12” long and 4” high.
Gauge is not important to this pattern. Size will vary depending on the size of your chosen yarn and hook.
Materials:
• Worsted-weight yarn.
I used: Bernat Super Value Soft Grey, True Grey and Natural
• 3mm crochet hook
• 9mm safety eyes
• Tapestry needle, straight pins, scissors, skewer for pushing in
stuffing.
• Optional reinforcement for bottoms of feet such as coins,
buttons, or pieces of plastic cut into circles. Mine were about
18mm, the size of a dime.
