Here is my first stab at modelling Triceratops horridus, probably the most iconic and FUN dinosaurs going. I have tried to keep the body proportions accurate to the reconstructions of the fossil skeletons. the number of toes (always important! 8-) ) is correct as is the arrangement of ankles, knees, wrists and elbows. I cannot guarantee that the eye or body colours are at all accurate…
anyway, you need:
- 100g DK yarn in the colour of your choice for the body
- roughly 10g of whatever colour you think the horns should be
- another 10g or so for the beak and toes
- stuffing material
Bearing in mind that the neck frill was probably for social display rather than actual defense, there is no reason why you shouldn’t develop your own pattern of colours for the frill. Let me know how you get on!
