Trikone means triangle in Hindi (त्रिकोण : pronounced “ thri – cone”). It literally translates to “three corners”. This kerchief is made using the triangle stitch, and is a triangular project, so I think the name is apt.

The trikone kerchief is crocheted sideways, and is adjustable for length and width.
The instructions are for an increase section, followed by an ‘even’ section and finally of course, the decrease. For a perfect triangle, you could do just the increase and decrease sections, and for a longer scarflette, you increase the number of lines in the ‘even’ section.

Gauge, though given, is not critical. A loose, light hand and light, thin yarn make longer, lacier triangles, and a lighter project.

The pattern is written using U.S terminology, comes with a photo tutorial and a chart.
