I love decorating for the holidays, and the Trim the Tree Cowl was inspired by my love of big, bright, colorful string lights. This mobius cowl pattern features a staggered light motif that uses an alternating background meant to mimic the layers of a tree.

Whether you enjoy using all the colored lights or prefer a more traditional palette, this cowl will make you feel festive all season long without even needing to decorate. This pattern only ever uses two colors at a time, so this is a fun knit that works up quickly!

This seamless infinity cowl pattern starts with a provisional cast-on and then moves right to the charted colorwork pattern. You will follow the chart until your desired length, slip half the stitches to give it a twist, and then join the ends of the knitted tube together using the Kitchener stitch. This pattern has been tech-edited.

Don’t miss out on the companion sock pattern!
