This easy cowl knits up quickly in thick-and-thin bulky yarn and can be made in 3 sizes. Although it uses a lace stitch pattern, the men will like it too! The small cowl can also be worn as a headband to keep your ears warm.

Sizes Directions are written for small with changes for medium and large in parentheses. Finished measurements are approximately 17 (18, 24)“ circumference at top, 23 (25, 28)” circumference at bottom, and 5½ (9, 9)“ tall.

Materials Rhapsody (65% Wool/22% Nylon/13% Acrylic, 55 yards per approx. 1¾ oz. skein) by Bonkers Handmade Originals: 1 (2, 2) skeins. Knitting needle size 6mm/US 10 (8mm/US 11, 8mm/US 11), 40cm/16” circular or whatever size needed to get correct gauge. Stitch marker. Shown in Calendula (Burnt Amber, Flamingo Fest).

Gauge
Small: 12 sts and 18 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch on size 6mm/US 10; 18-st repeat = 5½“. To save time, take time to check your gauge.
Medium, Large: 10 sts and 16 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch on size 8mm/US 11; 18-st repeat = 6”. To save time, take time to check your gauge.
