The Trinity Cowl/Shrug/Fussless Shawl

What is this thing?
The finished item can be worn as a cowl OR pulled down over your shoulders as a little shrug. Trinity features three lovely little cables and a whole bunch of smooshy, stretchy, delish garter. You can make the cowl larger or smaller as you desire by simply repeating or eliminating pattern repeats. When knit with the recommended yardage, the back part of the neck measures 6” while the deepest part of the front swoops down to measure 14” (no short rows required, by the way!). Because of this, you will not have to deal with that bulk of fabric you may be used to in a cowl nor the fussiness of arranging a shawl handkerchief style.

Can I make it?
This pattern is perfect for a knowledgeable beginner, a first-time cable-er, or an advanced knitter looking for a mindless project.

Here are the stitches and skills you need under your belt:
Knit, purl, knit front/back, make 1 knit-wise, make 1 purl-wise, a simple left-leaning cable (explained in pattern), joining to work in the round, bind-off.
There are NO short rows.

What goodies do I need to buy?
This cowl requires:
3oo yards (275 meters)(about 170 grams) of worsted weight yarn
Size 8 (5 mm) 29” circular needles
7 stitch markers (optional once you establish the pattern)
Scissors
Darning needle

This pattern has been tested by some amazing ladies, however, humans make mistakes. If you see anything out of place, let me know!
