Triple Check Coffee Cozy
I was looking for coffee cozies that I could make in different colors to act as “cup markers” (like wine-markers but for coffee/tea paper cups). I couldn’t find anything I really liked, so I made my own. I wanted to experiment with mosaic colorwork, and I love the three color combinations, so I set out to find fun stitch ideas that included three colors.
In that search, I came across the Triple Check stitch developed by mathgrrl. I took the concept and converted the stitch to work in-the-round, and added the solid borders in the main color.
These cozies knit up really quick and there are so many color combinations you can choose. Check out the Triple Check blog post for some ideas on how others have been making fun combinations, including twisting the knit stitch to make a cute little heart pattern. A little yarn goes a long way for these, making it a perfect stash-busting pattern.
