Trivet-Cover Wall Hanging
The original piece was crocheted to cover and beautify a metal-rimmed asbestos hot-dish protector. Asbestos has fallen out of favor, but these patterns make great decorative wall hangings when mounted on cardboard covered with colored craft paper or felt.
The crocheted piece requires about 50 yards of variegated Size 10 cotton crochet thread, plus about 50 yards of white or cream Size 10 cotton crochet thread.
The thread color, background color and ribbon color (to hang) can be varied to complement or accent nearly any decorating scheme.
