Trixie - a top down yoked sweater
by Katy Farrell
This is a yoked sweater knit from the top down using DK weight yarn and 4mm (US 6) needles - it is very easy and knits up quickly too. There is a cute crossover neckline and a flared rib at the bottom for added interest. The nature of the patterns used also ensures that the design is very stretchy and so should fit baby for longer. With 6 sizes given, the pattern can grow with your child. You will need 100g - 250g of yarn depending upon size and a small amount of a multicolored, variegated, self striping or hand painted DK yarn for the trim. The crossover neckline is finished with a single crochet trim, although a similar effect can be achieved with embroidery as detailed in the pattern.
