The troi is a traditional men’s sweater from the island of Kihnu. Troi’s are all-over colourwork sweaters brimming with embellishment, historically done in black or blue and white with the knitted braids in red. This modern troi includes useful pockets and comes in two versions, a sweater and a dress.

This colourwork sweater is knit seamlessly from the bottom up. The hem, cuffs and shoulder feature Kihnu vits.
The body is knit from the hem up with steeks used to create and shape the openings of each armhole and neck.
There are two styles of pockets. The dress has pockets placed on the side created by steeks. The sweater version features pockets created by knitting select stitches with waste yarn to pick up after completion of the body.
