Trojan Helmet
This pattern is for my Trojan helmet with a finishing option for a knight’s helmet. The faceplate moves up and down to cover the nose and mouth. It can also be removed from the hat if desired.
Materials:
Worsted weight yarn, approximately 300 yards
J (6 mm) hook
Yarn is held double throughout, unless indicated otherwise.
MC = main color
AC = accent color (can use one or two)
Stitches Used:
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
bpsc = back post single crochet
Gauge:
4” = 10 hdc when working in the round
4” = 9 rows when working in the round
The hat should fit a older child – adult small. To adjust for a larger head, go up a hook size.
