Trompe Wrap

This wrap is named Trompe from the French word for “deception” because this design gives the illusion of complexity from a simple slipped-stitch pattern. Using only one color at a time, Mosaic Stitch is an astonishingly easy introduction to colorwork. Using contrast between two main colors, one light and one dark and with splashes of vivid color in between, this wrap will keep you engaged. Worked entirely in Garter and Mosaic Stitches, it offers a nice balance between relaxation and attention, and there is no purling at all. The rhomboid shape is created by knitting from end to end on the bias. This wrap is also adaptable to your personal style: add color-blocked stripes of your contrast colors (instructions included), choose a dark yarn with color pops, or reduce it to a simpler palette of only three colors.
Includes both written and charted instructions.
This pattern has been professionally edited and tested.
