Trondelag Hat
The color pattern on this hat is a traditional pattern from the Trondelag region of Norway. Traditionally, it is worked with highly contrasting solid colors but the pattern is equally pleasing when knit with a solid and a hand-painted yarn. The top is shaped by using an ask (left-leaning decrease) at the end of each pattern repeat on every other round. The result is dazzling. A 2x2 ribbing at the beginning is tucked into the hat to warm the ears.
