Tropical Dreams is an overlay mosaic crochet pattern with a 66-stitch repeating design. Included in the pattern are some different color combination ideas, as well as common sizes, yardage, and instructions for each size. It includes the original pattern PDF, printer-friendly PDF, and a guide to overlay mosaic crochet. Also included are left-handed written instructions!

I made a small throw 3 repeats wide with 3 vertical center repeats. I used YarnArt Flowers in 262 for background and 302 for contrast. The size is subject to change depending on your crochet tension and yarn/hook choices.

This is an advanced beginner level pattern and includes a beginner’s guide on how to do mosaic crochet. The PDF does include a photo tutorial on creating a basic envelope border, how to anchor stitches for long runs of FLODC, and how to make angled stitches. This pattern requires 4 angled stitches per center repeat. These can be replaced with a normal FLODC should you wish!

The PDF pattern is written in U.S. terminology and includes the full written pattern in a row-by-row format, as well as the ticked graphs. The written format is in a new, easier to read format! Also included is a printer-friendly PDF that allows you to print only the necessities for the pattern.

Please note that different yarns, different tensions, and different hook sizes will all utilize a different amount of yarn. All yarn totals are included in the pattern. There are also estimations of yardage needed for varying sizes of blankets.
