Designed especially for a single (approx) 400yd skein of 4ply gradient-dyed ombre yarn, but can be made with two balls of contrasting colour if required. (Another similar cowl design in my store is Autumnal which features a leaf motif).

(If made with two separate colours, the blending effect at the bottom of the cowl will be lost.)

It is best to avoid complex gradients with many colours, so that the merging tones can be more clearly seen as you progress through the knit.

Wind your yarn into a single centre- pull cake, and work from both ends of the cake at once throughout.

The hibiscus flower motif evokes a summery, tropical vibe which is perfect to brighten up cold winter days; and the varying-width stripe arrangement adds a pop of interest to the lower section.
