Trotting Horse Headband
This is a companion piece to my “Trotting Horse Cowl”. Since it is worked in the round, it is a bit easier for those new to double knitting.
The finished piece measures approximately 18” around and 3.5” tall with about 5” of negative ease for a nice snug fit.
I have used 16” 3mm circular needles because I am a loose knitter, but use whatever needles you need to obtain the gauge.
I used the yarn listed, but any DK weight yarn could be used. Try to pick contrasting colours for the design to really stand out.
I have loved horses since I was a child and some of my best memories are of times spent racing through the woods and fields on horseback. I hope this piece helps to recapture that feeling for all who see it!
