Troubadour
Troubadour is a top down shawl of alternating waves of knit lace and contrasting garter bands. Perfect for playing with colour, it creates a lyrical, rippled effect, somewhat like the chorus and refrain of a song.
Ideal for showing off two or more complementary colours, a gradient yarn worked from both ends of the cake, or for yarns of different texture in the same colour.
An unusual spine construction makes for an engaging and satisfying knit, and the shallow triangle shape makes it easy to wrap and drape.
-
The waves can be continued to any size, allowing the shawl to be adapted to any yardage.
-
Suits lace to bulky weight yarn.
-
Can be worked entirely from the written pattern, or from charts with notes.
