Trousseau
This semi-circular shawl is knit from the neck down with increase rows becoming spaced further apart as you move down the shawl.
The diagonal lace pattern creates wonderful visual interest across the knitting, alternating direction for each new section. This lace is easy to memorize and the shawl quickly becomes a very relaxing knit. If fact I think it would make an excellent first shawl for a confident lace beginner.
Shown in two sizes, unusually the smaller size is knit using heavier dk yarn and larger needles and the larger version uses fingering weight yarn and smaller needles. Suggestions are given in the pattern for adjusting the size of the shawl to either smaller or larger.
