Each of the six slanted panels of this large, cozy shawl has a stitch pattern composed simply of knit and purl stitches. All six patterns are different, so you never feel like you’ve been knitting the same thing forever! The general shape is long and not too wide, and it may be draped in different ways depending on your mood. The pattern is written, not charted. It is suitable for a beginning knitter, but interesting enough for anyone.

We have seen the daily viciousness of Russia’s attack on Ukraine and the almost unbelievable suffering of the Ukrainian people, and like many people I have wondered what I can do to help. So beginning from February 24, the date of the invasion, all sales from my shop will be donated to Medicines Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) and their work in Ukraine. The Russians have targeted medical facilities there.
