I designed this hat in order to use my leftover yarn from the many afghans I’ve made over the years. I had a lot of leftover yarn, but in many different colors, so this hat is knit holding 4 strands of yarn, 3 strands of worsted weight and 1 strand of Dk/Sport weight.

Each year I knit about 50 hats and donate them to veterans in need, but I just couldn’t make enough hats for all the veterans that needed one, so I asked for help from my podcast viewing community and WOW, did they help! The first year I asked for help I collected over 200 hats! After showing the hats on the podcast, people asked for the pattern, so here it is.
