“I love stripes, a good portion of mine and my children’s wardrobes reflect that. For these mitts, I initially played with gradated stripes combined with a diagonal stitch pattern. It felt like the two types of lines were competing with one another, so I decided to stick with the striped cuffs and leave the hand portion of the mitts in simple solid stockinette. In the end, it was both easier on the eyes and simpler to execute!”
