Both versions of the shawl (sportweight and DK) are 50” wide by 28” deep after blocking.

You will need 394 yards of Main Colour, and 262 yards of Contrast Colour for the sportweight version. For the DK version you will need 360 yards of main colour and 241 yards of Contrast Colour.

Blocked gauge for the sportwight version is 22 stitches and 36 rows per 4 inches/10cm.

Blocked gauge for the DK version is 20 stitches and 28 rows per 4 inches/10m.

The stripes are knitted in a feather and fan stitch. I love the undulations this creates!
