This sock was developed for my customers who love to make socks but are not sure of the recipients foot size. I made it using a star toe from the toe up so that there is no right or wrong side. Keep knitting if you want the sock longer, I wouldn’t go any shorter as the sock will be less inclined to stay in place. For a small foot I would only increase until 56 stitches and for a large mans I would increase until I had 72 stitches.
