Tuckedin Cowl&Scarf
This cowl/infinity scarf pattern was created using Tuck Stitch 83 from Nancy Marchant’s book called ‘Tuck Stitches’. Her book is filled with nearly a hundred variations of tuck stitches. The characteristics, of this method, are similar to brioche. That is, they use two colors and are totally reversible. If you have not attempted brioche, this is a good place to start!
The gauge is not critical, but should be between 3.5 to 4 stitches per inch to achieve the recommended sizes:
Cowl = 26” circumference by 10” depth
Scarf = 56” circumference by 8” depth
The Cowl or Scarf require 2 hanks of worsted or DK or a combination of the two weights.
Color A: should be a solid or tonal
Color B: should be highly variegated
You will achieve the best effect if you have high contrast between the two yarns and little to no matching color in the variegated to your solid/tonal.
Size 8 needle is recommended if using all worsted or a combination of worsted and DK.
Size 7 needle is recommended if using only DK
