Tudor bag
A bag with a distinct shape and style. Have you watched “The Tudors”? Look at the bag -red colour, cable”fence”, snakelike motif at the sides - so much conspiracy and somewhat Gothic feeling. At least my associations are such. The bag is knitted and then lined. Instructions for lining are not included ( as so many knitters, I am planning to learn to sew:) There are instructions included for a felted version though. for those of you who would like to finish it themselves.
It is worked from the bottom up. Bottom is knitted first and then stitches are picked up separately for the 4 sides. After that 4 sides are seamed together by single crochet or other preferred method.(Some suggested in the pattern)
Measurements for non-felted bag: 33cm/13” seam to seam top width, 10cm/4” depth , 30cm /12 ” hight, 76cm/30” handle
Measurements for felted bag before the felting: 44cm/17.25” seam to seam top width, 13cm/5” depth , 40cm /16 ” hight, 100cm/40 ” handle
NOTE: The pattern is being tested at Free pattern testers group. It will be released by the end of November
