superwash Merino, 30% bamboo, 10% nylon) in ‘Blue Moon’. 24 wpi

The repeating diamond motif in this stole is like the simple leaded glass windows popular in Tudor England. The trend away from intricate stained glass was a turn toward simplicity common to the Protestant Reformation.

This shawl is worked from one short edge the full length of the piece. It would be quite easy to modify the number of repeats to widen it further, or to narrow it into a scarf.
