Tuff Slippers
These slippers are worked flat from heel flap until extra stitches are cast on and joined in the round at the instep. The slipper is worked in the round until finishing with decreases for the toe. After knitting is complete, they are felted to the desired finished size.
The felting process will shrink the slippers down to approximately 70-75% of their finished knitted size. To calculate the measurements needed for knitting, multiply the desired foot length by 1.3. The finished item will stretch slightly, so felting to slightly smaller dimensions works well.
Be sure to use non-superwash wool yarn!
