Tuile the Turaco - 15 Page PDF

The Lady Ross turaco is a beautifully crested bird who spends most of its time high up in the canopies. Don’t be deceived by their ‘g,way’ call, they really do want to say hello, its just their call. Turaco’s are believed to have supernatural powers in some cultures, associating them with luck, wealth and fertility. A truly beautiful bird indeed.

This PDF includes the written instructions in US terms and step-by-step photos detailing how to make the pieces to finish your creation. When made with DK weight yarn (sample made in Stylecraft Special DK) and a 2.0mm hook, the finished cockatiel will measure around 20cm/8” tall.

The project can be made using any weighted yarn, just adjust the hook size to match your choice.

You’ll need to know how to:

• make a Magic Ring or a chain 2 equivalent
• work in a round
• single crochet
• increase/decrease
• front/back loop only
