Tukkajumala
This pattern is
available for free.
Tukkajumala is a wide, seed stitch headband, meant to keep the most sensitive parts of one’s head warm, while still allowing for interesting updos even in winter.
It calls for one strand of a DK weight yarn of your choice and one strand of a silk-mohair blend lace weight yarn, such as Rowan’s Kidsilk Haze or Debbie Bliss’ Angel. If mohair isn’t your fibre of choice, feel free to sub whichever warm, halo causing fibre you prefer.
The pattern is only in Finnish for now, but given time, I hope to translate it into English as well.
Suomeksi kirjoitettu ohje löytyy Ulla 1/16:sta.
