DESCRIPTION: A richly textured decorative floral Panel with interesting overlays and embellishments.
Let’s create a beautifully textured floral panel plus optional smaller squares to join our decorative Panel or border the completed Throw.

TULBAGH is floral panel #4 (the final panel) in a series of four decorative crochet panel designs.

Each design is inspired by a small village in my home Province, Western Cape, South Africa. These destinations stand out for their exceptional beauty, architecture, rich history, agriculture, and abundant naturally breathtaking surroundings.

PANEL 1: CERES
PANEL 2: CITRUSDAL
PANEL 3: PRINCE ALBERT
PANEL 4: TULBAGH

PANEL 4/TULBAGH measures: L = 15”/ 37cm. W = 9-1/2”/ 24cm (includes Border).
Each Panel consists of: Stand Alone Square (6” x 6”/15cm x 15cm), Extended Rows (1 x 18 continuous rows = 6” x 6”/15cm x 15cm total), Embellishments (stems, leaves, add-on flower(s), Optional Border (adds approximately 1-1/2”/4cm to the Panel), 2nd Optional Border (= Mini Square: 5”x 5”/12cm x 12cm, can be upsized + a Micro Square: 2-1/2”x 2-1/2”/5cm x 5cm).

YARN and COLOURWAY INFORMATION

Stylecraft Special DK 100g = 100% premium acrylic at approx. 295m/322yds per ball. My background colours are CHARITY BEIGE and RUST/DK 100g (Elle Yarns/local brand). It is described as a Double Knit but feels and behaves like a light-worsted or aran weight yarn (#4). I used the same hook size throughout.

IMPORTANT YARN INFORMATION: In the Video Instructions I explain why your background colour should be light worsted or aran weight yarn (#4 in US terms). Using DK weight (#3 in US terms) such as Stylecraft Special DK for your background will significantly reduce the overall size outcome. Feel free to use a light-worsted yarn throughout. Use the total calculations for the first Panel to calculate how much additional yarn you will need in total for your project (cushion cover, bag or throw).

For this Panel, I used CHARITY DK 100g balls in colours:
1x BEIGE
1x MUSTARD
1x ANTIQUE BROWN
1x OCEAN
1x TAN
1x RUST
1x KHAKI
