My inspiration for this bag came from the wonderful spring tulips swaying in the breeze. As tulips come in so many wonderful colours there are many options to choose from when selecting the shade for this project.

The base and handles are knitted on straight needles. The main body of the bag on a circular needle. The stitches are then divided for the shaping of the petals at the top.

You only need to know how to do single crochet (dc in UK) to add the definition of the petals. You will need a cable needle for the inverted “pleat” at the bottom.
