This is a pattern for a small motif that is crocheted together as you go. The size of the motif depends of the thread yarn used and it is beautiful in both size 10 (approx. 3 1/2 inches wide) and size 20 thread yarn (approx. 2 1/2 inches wide). Although, I have not made it in a standard size yarn I am sure it would also look great as well.

You can make multiple motifs using just one spool of thread yarn, but if making a tablecloth I would recommend getting several spools.

For size 10 crochet thread I used a US size 6 (1.8mm) steel hook.

For size 20 crochet thread I used a US size 12 (1.00mm) steel hook.

There all all kinds of solid and variant colors of thread yarn, and the brand you use doesn’t matter to make the pattern. As long as you like it and are happy with it, then go for it!
