The tulip hand towel is practical, absorbent and gorgeous!
With the one row of flowers in this design there is a simple elegance to this pattern that draws the eye and provides a fresh, cute but not overpowering little bit of something to your kitchen or bathroom.
Why not pair this with the tulips apron for a great gift for your mum, aunt, grandma or friend!
If aprons aren’t your thing then why not create a couple of simple washcloths / dishcloths to pair with it?
Once you have worked the flowers the rest of the hand towel is an easy 1 row repeat.
Skill level: advanced beginner / intermediate crocheter. There are links to left and right handed video tutorials on how to do the flower section step by step and row by row.
LAYOUT:
My patterns all share the same layout which is easy to read and easy to find important information you need, such as materials needed, sizing information, gauge information, and special stitches used as well as how to do them. These stitches often come with an accompanying video for further clarification - in this case there is a full tutorial for the flower section and video tutorials for the textured section included.
SIZE:
My hand towel was approximately 16” wide and 21” tall unblocked. The stitch multiple is in the pattern. This is the larger size. The pattern also has a slightly smaller size of 11” by 21”.
MATERIALS:
You can use any cotton yarn you like, just remember, if it is a thinner yarn, you will need to add stitches to get the correct dimensions —this is why we provide the stitch multiple!
4 weight cotton in 3 colours - 400 yards in main colour, 20 yards in green, 30 yards in pink, 5mm hook, stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors
