This is a simple pattern to make, with basic double crochet stitches but gives a lovely feel and texture because of the ruffles and wrapped effect. The Top is worked flat as a single piece and only joined at the shoulder using blanket stitch, the ruffle sleeves are added after that. The Skirt is similarly worked flat and then the ruffles are added after the overlaps are made. It is a very comfortable set for children to wear especially in the summer if made with a cotton or cotton blend yarn. The pattern includes separate written pattern, one for the top and skirt. Either the top or the skirt can be easily paired with a bottom/top wear and can be mixed and matched with other apparel too. The design is also easily customizable in terms of fit and length. This pattern includes 7 sizes from Age 1 to 8 (chest size 19” to 26”).

600 - 2800 metres of any of any #1 weight light fingering yarn preferably in 100% cotton.
4mm crochet hook (or hook to obtain gauge)

Sizing: The pattern includes 7 sizes from Age 1 to 8, actual chest circumference from 20 to 26”

Finished measurements: The top has a positive ease up to 1”, with finished measurements of 21 to 27”

Gauge: 10cm/4” square = 16 stitches wide x 10 rows tall (includes Double crochet row and chain stitch rows)
