Tulip Top
Workflow: The tulip top is worked bottom up. First, a double folded edge is knitted up, then the body is worked in the round. The body is then split in half to shape the armholes. The front and back are worked up symmetrically without neckline shaping. The little peaks are knit up to create the overlapping shoulder detail. The Peaks are sewn into place to overlap.
Ease: The top is designed to have 0- 5 cm of ease, meaning it is supposed to be 0-5 cm bigger than your bust measurement.
Gauge: 22 sts x 30 rows with 3,5mm needles for 10x10 cm/ 4x4 inches.
Sizes: XS- S - M - L - XL - 2XL - 3XL - 4XL - 5XL
Made to fit a bust of : (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm
Note: Measure your bust and determine what size suits you best. Example: If your chest is 85cm at its biggest point, you can knit either an XS or an S. I suggest choosing a XS in this case because when knitting a cotton top it may stretch over time and because the top is designed to be pretty fitting, I would choose the smaller size.
Total Length: 49 - 50 - 52 - 54 - 55,5 - 56,5 - 58 - 59 - 61cm
Materials: 3,5 mm, 60cm circular needles, a needle to sew in ends and secure shoulders, stitch marker.
200 - 250 - 250 - 250 - 300 - 300 - 300 - 350 - 350 grams of Annell Fiene (Belgian Brand of yarn, may not be available worldwide), or any yarn needed to obtain gauge.
