This is a classic cardigan worked in a fun 2/2 broken rib texture and a very engaging Tulipani stitch pattern. It is worked from the bottom up, with back and fronts started at the same time. After working the bottom edge in 2/2 Broken Rib, two sections of Tulipani stitch are started and their precise and symmetrical placement makes them end right under the armholes. After working the V neck shaping and some short rows for the shoulder slopes, the shoulder seams are finished using a three needle bind-off. The sleeves are worked flat from the cuffs and at the end the button band is picked up and worked in garter rib.

Yarn used: 5 (5, 6, 7)(7, 8, 9, 9) skeins Ochre Yarn 304 5ply (sport weight) - 50% Tibetan Yak down/50% Australian Merino (300 metres/328 yards per 100 grams). Pictured in Red Ochre (043).
