Tulle-bi-telli Stole
The pattern has been testknit and should be free of errors. But if you find errors or have suggestions for improvement, please let me know! Enjoy!
I am a bellydancer and always on the hunt for new dancing shawls. There is a special kind of design that is hardly being produced any more since the older women who made it are not doing it any more and the young ones are not interested to learn. I am speaking of Assiut shawls/fabric, a black mesh that is being embellished with tiny pieces of silver in geometric patterns, often diamonds or crosses and zig-zag-patterns on the edges. I just learned it is being called Egyptian mummy cloth, too. How cool is that?
I designed this stole to be adjustable in length and width. Thats why there are no amounts of skeins and beads included in the description. I would recommend a weight between lace and light worsted and pick the beads accordingly.
