Assuming I wasn’t the only person in the world who wanted to knit lace but struggled with all over, complex repeats I chose to design a shawl that I would enjoy to knit. It includes some lovely simple stocking stitch at the beginning to allow you to get used to the increase sequence for shaping the shawl before throwing the lace stitches in to the mix, some simple eyelets to ease you in to the lace gently and then a fun lace section which looks more advanced than it actually is. To help with keeping track of where you are in the pattern I have broken it down row by row with stitch counts at the end of each row. I have also included both written and charted instructions for the main lace section so you can work with whichever format you are most comfortable with.
