These warm, soft and easy-to-knit wrist warmers are all about symmetry. Even the wrist chart is flipped upside-down to provide the hand chart. They are named after a town whose name is also symmetric (ie, palindromic): Tumut, which lies at the foot of the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, Australia.
The pattern features twisted stitches that grow organically out of the twisted ribbing to travel diagonally across the stocking stitch background.
The wrist edge is rounded, although no shaping is required.
These features give a lot of pattern interest for very little effort, and all from one 50g ball of yarn.
