Tundra Baby Vest
The knitting for this vest is not terrible hard, but I think it makes a really cosy and pretty top. The main sections are knitted in rib, which make it very warm and stretchy. The neck is finished off with a length of icord. You could leave this off, put it is not hard to do, and I think gives it a neat looking finish.
I have recommended some James C. Brett Doubleknit wools, although I think it would work well with any Doubleknit wool. You will need: Newborn (0-3months) 120g, Older Baby (3-6 months) 150g. You will also need 3.25 mm knitting needles, and 2.5 mm doublepoint needles for the icord edging, four toggles or buttons for the front, and one flat button for inside.
I find brackets in patterns a bit confusing, so I written out the instructions for the boy and girl wrap, and the different sizes, separately. This makes the pattern long, but I think easier to follow.
